Sofia is a Chilean-Australian writer & digital content producer of The Takeaway based in Sydney, Australia.

She loves exploring how food systems work; through policy, people, and the hidden histories of what we eat. Sofia became interested in food systems after trying to grow tomatoes changed her perspective on food.

With The Takeaway, Sofia aims to build an independent media project that helps everyday Australians understand how food systems actually work, so they can make informed choices and advocate for better policy.

She writes and produces videos through a solutions journalism lens (so not just doom and gloom). 

 

Her Bachelor of Arts in Film & TV from Edith Cowan University and Reuters Digital Journalism qualification help in her creative storytelling to engage audiences across media platforms.
